How to Build a 6-Month NEET Study Plan That Actually Works

Split the syllabus into phases, protect time for revision and mock tests, and adjust every week based on your results.

Six months is enough time to cover the NEET syllabus properly – if the time is planned. Most students lose weeks not because they study too little, but because they study without a structure and leave no room for revision.

Split the six months into three phases

  1. Months 1–3 – Learn: finish every chapter once from NCERT, with topic-wise practice questions after each one.
  2. Months 4–5 – Strengthen: revise chapter by chapter, solve previous year questions and take one full-length mock test every week.
  3. Month 6 – Perform: two to three full mocks a week, detailed analysis of each one, and short revision of weak topics.

Plan the week, not just the day

Give each subject a fixed share of the week so none of them slips. A simple starting point is Biology on three days, Physics on two and Chemistry on two, with one short slot every day for revising what you learned the day before.

Let your mock results change the plan

After every mock test, note the three chapters where you lost the most marks and add them to next week's revision slots. A plan that responds to your results beats a perfect plan that never changes.
